Laszlo Szalvay
In August 2000, Laszlo Szalvay founded Danube Technologies, Inc. with his brother Victor in Seattle, Wash. Although Danube was originally created to manage outsourced software projects, the company’s focus soon shifted to helping organizations transform to Agile management practices. When an internal tool that Danube developed to improve its own processes became a hit with clients, Danube inadvertently discovered its flagship product, ScrumWorks® Pro. Danube has also introduced a services division, now called ScrumCore, in August 2004, which provides Scrum and XP coaching to clients.     Read full bio »

Victor Szalvay
Victor Szalvay currently leads product development for CollabNet's ScrumWorks® product suite. In that capacity, he works closely with customers, stakeholders, and the development teams to deliver high business value each release cycle. Katie Playfair
As a Certified Scrum Practitioner and Director of Client Services, Katie Playfair helps guide the activities of Danube's ScrumCORE™ team, comprised of five Certified Scrum Trainers, several partners and client service representatives. She works closely with the team to find the right combination of services for each Danube client. Angela Druckman
With more than a decade in software, including four years working in a Scrum environment, Angela Druckman has seen first-hand how agile practices and Scrum in particular can lead organizations to project success. As one of Danube’s Certified Scrum Trainers and a member of its ScrumCORE™ team, she helps organizations harness the Scrum framework’s potential, conducting dozens of public training courses each year as well as providing on-site, private coaching. Working closely with customers in such diverse fields as academia, utilities, financial services, and consulting services with projects that have ranged from small contract jobs to multi-year, multi-million dollar initiatives, she has repeatedly helped teams surface and resolve organizational dysfunction through Scrum.

Dr. Dan Rawsthorne, PhD
With more than 27 years in software, Dr. Dan Rawsthorne possesses deep experience working in diverse sectors and in various professional capacities. As one of Danube’s Certified Scrum Trainers and a member of its ScrumCORE™ team, he conducts dozens of public training courses each year, provides on-site, private coaching, and speaks regularly in an effort to help organizations enact organizational change through Scrum. He has worked with clients large and small, in such industries as retail, e-commerce, air traffic control systems, and aircraft avionics.

Jimi Fosdick
With more than 14 years of experience in product development, Jimi Fosdick has worked in a wide range of industries, including publishing, software, advertising, and the public sector. Michael James
Michael James is a software process mentor and Certified Scrum Trainer with a focus on the engineering practices that enable agile project management practices. Having worked as a software developer (formerly "architect") for more than 20 years, he has deep experience with automated testing that predates the eXtreme Programming movement, including:
  • Formal, phased, high-ceremony processes based on DOD-STD-2167A;
  • Chaotic non-processes of the dot-com era; and
  • Agile processes such as Scrum and XP.

As an agile coach, James has found that teams learn best when he can work alongside them “in the trenches.” This one-on-one interaction allows him to share agile practices and insight while tackling real organizational challenges.   Read full bio »

Tamara Sulaiman
Tamara Sulaiman is Software Process Mentor at CollabNet, Inc. Prior to this she was Managing Consultant at Applied Scrum where she focused on coaching teams and organizations transitioning to Agile software development. Tamara brings over 25 years of experience in management across a spectrum of industries including: information technology, construction, international development and education to her consulting expertise.
